Before the (major) demolition. Note the breaker switch in the cupboard. The floor has been stripped and many cabinet doors removed. The louvered door will be removed and the new electric panel will occupy that space. This wall was opened to facilitate the removal of the old wiring and instalation of new. File: 100_1088.JPG - Date: 2008:03:16 13:31:17 This old panel served for over 50 years. The old electric service wires are low enough that you could reach up and grab them. File: 100_1119.JPG - Date: 2008:03:19 18:22:12 After passing the electric inspection, the wall is covered and cabinets are fitted. The refrigerator now has it's own properly grounded circuit. The hole left by the old fuse box. This will be filled after installing the vent for the rangehood. Hard to imagine a use for all these breakers when the house was running on just 4 fuses. The first two cabinets installed.
