This opening near the base of the chimney facilitated the removal of the bricks as it was disassembled from top down.

You can see a metal vent on the roof in the area where the chimney once came through.

The dumpster had already left so the torn out flooring piled up just outside the kitchen door.

The floor structure needed repair around the chimney and laundry chute.

There are remnants of knob and tube wiring still in use in the house.

The floor was also opened up to redirect heating ducts to the second floor.

Notice a repaired floor joist to correct damage from when the laundry chute was installed.

The vertical pipe is the drain for the tub on the second floor. This will need to be relocated.

There was discussion about removing this stub wall, but since nobody understands why it
